Ivomec Liquid  is a monthly medication for the prevention of heartworms in dogs.  Ivomec Liquid prevents heartworm disease in dogs by eliminating heartworm larvae that infected the dog in the month before treatment.  Ivomec also controls heartworm infections acquired in the previous 4 months provided monthly treatment is continued for at least 12 months.

Ivomec has a wide safety Margin in most breeds of dogs, including pregnant females, breeding bitches, stud dogs and puppies 6 weeks of age and older.  Dogs over 6-months of age should be tested for the heartworm disease prior to using Ivomec and tested annually thereafter.
